The conference registration fee includes admission to all conference sessions and special events, two receptions, refreshment breaks, and conference materials.

All conference participants must be current members of the MSA, with membership dues paid in full (see below). Please note that MSA membership is not included in the conference registration fee.

All conference participants are required to pay the registration fee. There are no reduced fees for presenters/participants wishing to attend only part of the conference.

Student Fee
A valid copy of a student ID card or proof of full-time status must be faxed or mailed to conference assistant Ann Mattis.

MSA Business Lunch: Saturday, November 5
Please come meet your colleagues and join President Mark Wollaeger for an open forum on the future of the MSA and a catered lunch at the conference hotel!

Special Events
Please enjoy the poetry reading by Donald Hall, scheduled for Thursday, November 3, and the jazz concert with Jackie Allen, on Saturday, November 5. Both events are free to registered conference participants.

How to Register

MSA Membership
You must be a current member of the MSA to attend this year's conference in Chicago. MSA membership is not included in the conference registration fee. Membership dues are $60.00 for regular members and $40.00 for graduate students and adjunct faculty. For international members add $6.00 for postage to Canada or Mexico and $13.40 for postage outside North America. MSA members receive four issues of Modernism/Modernity and free electronic access to the journal through Project Muse.

Unless specified otherwise, dues paid now will apply to the cycle beginning October 1, 2005 to September 30, 2006. The 2005-06 payment will include eligibility for the conference in Chicago, and a subscription to Modernism/Modernity starting in January 2006. Please visit the MSA website to begin or renew your membership.

Conference Registration
Complete the Registration Form and mail with your check made payable to Loyola University Chicago to the address provided below. Forms can also be faxed and checks mailed separately.

Note: Registrations will not be processed until payment is received.

Seminar Registration
To participate in a peer seminar, please register for the conference by July 1 and indicate your top three choices on the Registration Form (see the complete list of seminar topics). Seminar registration operates on a first-come, first-served basis. We will attempt to place you in your seminar of first choice unless it is already filled. All seminars are capped at 15 participants. Register early for the best chance of joining the seminar you prefer--and again, by July 1 at the latest.

What Are You Reading?
To participate in a What Are You Reading session, please check the appropriate box on the registration form and name a book you might be interested in presenting.

Cancellations and Refunds
Full refunds, less a $25 processing fee will be granted to cancellations received by Thursday, October 13, 2005. No refunds will be issued after that date. Refunds will be mailed after the conference and will not be given to no-shows. Substitutions are permitted.

Important Information for International Registrants
Letters of Invitation will only be sent upon request to those individuals (invited speakers, panel and seminar presenters) who will be presenting papers at the MSA 2005 conference. We regret that we are unable to send Letters of Invitation to general conference registrants.

You will receive your receipt at the conference registration desk.

Participant List Deadline
The participant list will show the names of attendees whose registrations are received on or before Thursday, October 6, 2005. Although every effort will be made to ensure accuracy, neither Loyola University nor the MSA can be held responsible for errors or omissions.
